Harmon Group Overview
1964 the company is founded by Mr Norman Harmon, the late father of the current Directors. The company trades on its reputation for quick, high quality form tool repairs for the Defence and Aerospace markets.

Over the next 20 years the Company enjoys sustained growth plus the addition of Mr Harmon’s three sons into the business. By now the company is offering all forms of precision grinding services to the tightest of tolerances.
In 1987 the company realises an opportunity in the market place and commits to a substantial capital investment programme by entering into the machining market supporting existing customers in the Defence / Aerospace industry.
In 1992 the machining activity has rapidly increased and the company markets itself through two trading styles.
Harmon Manufacturing &
Harmon Precision Grinding.
In 1997 the two divisions are physically separated with Harmon precision grinding moving into their own premises. This allows the grinding division to support manufacturing whilst expanding their own customer base.
In 1998 the split was completed. The two trading arms are registered as
Harmon Manufacturing Ltd &
Harmon Precision Grinding Ltd.
Both being wholly owned subsidiaries of Harmon (form tools) Ltd.
In the Summer of 2000 both the Harmon divisions moved into a modern purpose built facility in the Ferndown area of Dorset.
By January 2001, a new metal treatment division is incorporated using the latest equipment in the market. The Company is registered as
Harmon Metal Treatments Ltd.
Over the next five years the treatment division gains numerous Blue chip customer approvals and the addition of our Nadcap accreditation giving the Harmon group the advantage of a
‘One stop Shop operation.’
In 2007 seeing an opportunity to grow the business further Harmon Fabrication was registered as a trading company, in 2010 Harmon Fabrication acquired a larger purpose built unit and established itself in the Rail, Defence & Nuclear markets.
