Harmon Group was founded in 1964, offering a grinding and tooling facility for the Aerospace, Defence and Commercial Markets. It has since developed into a key supplier to many of the tier 1 + 2 client base.
It is a family run business which is wholly owned by the Harmon family. The group now benefits from a new generation of Directors, who bring fresh experience and a sense of continuity and security to the Group.
In 2015, We opened our 36,000 sq ft Cobham road manufacturing facility.
Now located within two sites totalling 68,000 sq ft on the Ferndown Industrial Estate, Wimborne, Dorset, we offer prototype, small batch or full production in many different materials in our Manufacturing and Fabrications divisions, managing order book requirements using our Preactor v12 production management tool, and provide regular feedback on order book status through our dedicated customer account managers, this facilitated by our own on site Nadcap accredited Surface Treatments and Grinding divisions.
We continue to invest in the infrastructure of the Group and expertise of our staff. Taking on 50 new employees, enabling us to offer a truly ‘one stop shop’ facility on one site for all our customers.
2018- Harmon take the decision to amalgamate all four trading companies into one entity
In 2019 we invested in a brand new Wet spray and Powder Coat line to further our ONE STOP SHOP capabilities.
2022- Harmon complete the expansion of both factories, improving our assembly offering, creating a new office space and increasing our Treatments capabilities.
2024- In line with REACH regulation changes we invest heavily in our Nadcap accredited Surface Treatments Division, doubling the available floor space.
For the next phase we are running dual lines to cover old and new processes, with all our old tanks able to be converted to REACH complaint lines.
Space is open also to put in new lines, what these are will be unveiled in 2025.
